Employing the design principle K.I.S.S. – keep it simple sometimes – Ignis® has conceived Spectrum. We started by drawing a square. We didn’t like it. We changed it to a rectangle. Much better. Then we placed the burner on the left. Nope. Then the right. Nope. We settled for the center. Much, much better. The color was next. Our initial inkling was purple. That didn’t work. After pondering the rainbow, we decided black it was.
The culmination of our design expertise became Spectrum. A freestanding, portable ethanol-burning fireplace that is just that. A fireplace. Nothing more. It caught fire with minimalists. No pun intended. It is now one of the stars of our collection. The design was clearly not our secret to success. It was the materials that we used, the finish that we applied, and the pedigree feature we nestled into our rectangular box:
A high-grade stainless-steel ethanol burner featuring spill-proof technology. The linear flame producing no smoke. Producing no ash. It doesn’t smell. It doesn’t have to be plugged in nor attached. Simply put, it produces a clean-burning fire that doesn’t require a chimney nor vent. The stark black of Spectrum shows it off and is adaptable with myriad color schemes, decor motifs, and room sizes. Everyone was happy (even though we didn’t win the Red Dot Design Award). Our job was done.
